Papilicious’s Rope Bondage for Beginners Workshop offers a welcoming and informative introduction to this captivating art form.
Join us on a journey of exploration, creativity, and connection through the world of Shibari.
Workshop’s content:
Basics of ties, knots, frictions, you'll receive expert guidance on achieving the right tension.
Importance of body awareness and connection between rigger and model.
How to negotiate and stablish boundaries, manage expectations, consent, and communicate before and during a Rope Bondage session
Risk and safety.
The different types of ropes and materials commonly used.
After this workshop you will have the basic knowledge to lead a playful, intimate, and safe scene with your rope partner.
This is a partnered workshop, Rigger and model, roles do not change during the workshop.
For who is this workshop?
Folks with no experience.
This workshop is only for couples, it is not for solo tying.
For folks that are interested in learning Shibari inspired rope bondage techniques.
What to bring?
We have ropes to borrow you during the workshop, but if you have your own, please bring them too.
If you want to buy ropes, we recommend buying some at Mail & Female Sexshop. If you use the code "Iridescent" in their webshop or in the store, you get a 10% discount.
We will be tying on the floor, and we have yoga matts and pillows but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
If you like to take notes: a notebook and pen.
Comfortable clothes in which you can move freely, tank tops or shorts are ideal, or any yoga/sport clothes.
A bottle of water (leak proof) and some snacks.
A pair of sandals/flip flops to get to the toilet, since they are not directly inside the studio.
Last but not least, bring a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm!!

During the entire workshop we do not allow the use of any mobile or electronic devices to record the content of the workshops.
You are allowed to take pictures of your partner as long as none of the participants or teachers are in your pictures.

Tickets are available until 48hrs before the workshop.
Event’s door closes 10 min before we start, after this, no entry will be granted.

Times
Doors open half an hour before the event starts: 09.30
We will close the door of the studio at 09.50 (10 minutes before the event starts), so please make sure you are there, at least 15 minutes before. After 09.50, no entry will be granted.
Location
The studio is located in Amsterdam west, Doctor Jan van Breemenstraat 1.
You can get here by bike, or from Central Station by Tram 13, the stop is Adm. Helfrichstraat.
If you decide to drive to us, here is a link for a parking space just besides the studio.
In our experience the Mobypark platform gives better rates and has several options in the neighbourhood.
