Workshop’s content:
Basics of ties, knots, frictions'.
Expert guidance on rope handeling and tension.
Importance of body awareness and connection between rigger and model.
How to negotiate and stablish boundaries, manage expectations, consent, and communicate before and during a Rope Bondage session
Risk and safety.
After this workshop you will have the basic knowledge to lead a playful, intimate, and safe scene with your rope partner.
For who is this workshop?
Folks with no experience.
Switching rolls is not allowed.
For couples, no solo participants.
For folks that are interested in learning Shibari inspired rope bondage techniques.
What to bring?
You need at least 2 full lenght (8 mtts) ropes and 1 half length. If you want to borrow ropes we have a few, please contact us ahead to reserve them for you.
We will be tying on the floor, and we have yoga matts and pillows but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
If you like to take notes: a notebook and pen.
Comfortable clothes in which you can move freely, tank tops or shorts are ideal, or any yoga/sport clothes.
A bottle of water (leak proof) and some snacks.
A pair of sandals/flip flops to get to the toilet, since they are not directly inside the studio.
Last but not least, bring a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm!!

You are allowed to take pictures of your partner as long as none of the participants or teachers are in your pictures.

Doors open half an hour before the event starts: 09.30
We will close the door of the studio at 09.50 (10 minutes before the event starts), so please make sure you are there, at least 15 minutes before. After 09.50, no entry will be granted.
Location
The studio is located in Amsterdam west, Doctor Jan van Breemenstraat 1.
You can get here by bike, or from Central Station by Tram 13, the stop is Adm. Helfrichstraat.
If you decide to drive to us, here is a link for a parking space just besides the studio.
In our experience the Mobypark platform gives better rates and has several options in the neighbourhood.

All our workshops and events are taught/guided in English.
Need Ropes?
If you need ropes you can find Shibari Ropes at Mail & Female, this link gives you a 10% discount on your first purchase.
We advise to get both ropes and rope butter and treat them before the workshop for them to be softer and easy to use.
