Rope for Romantics

Fluency with the body allows for storytelling. In a fun and carefree environment, we will cover the core positions of our practice and undertake exercises to understand your partner's body.
Play is at the heart of this practice and will open up areas for creativity and exploration.

We will explore mindful movement focusing on listening to your partner and tuning into their natural rhythm.

When we feel in sync with our partners, movement becomes intuitive. It then becomes possible to modulate the quality of touch to communicate an emotion or feeling with each gesture.
The gestures and movements created will act as phrases and will be used to weave a non-linguistic narrative
Our approach emphasizes consent, communication, and mutual respect with a focus on using consent as a tool for compassion.

This one-day workshop has been co-devised by Conor and Eveline and presents a personal and intimate look into their approach to rope at the intersection of performance and romance. Regularly using themes of tenderness, anticipation and longing, their practice pairs the performative aspects of play with dynamic and considered movement. This workshop will explore the theatre of movement and how body manipulation and somatic composition are essential to unlocking and exploring the juicy, hypnotic emotional landscapes of rope.
The workshop will be predominantly floor-based, using just a few ropes to explore the nuances of this emotional landscape.

Conor Aphilia (he, they, his)

Shibari-focused SWer, educator, and the owner of Aphilia Studio in London. His practice integrates rope as an extension of his broader k1nk interests, using it to explore nuanced and often challenging emotional and physical states. Regularly working with beginners and those new to the practice, his body-centric and intentional approach is shaped by professional experience, ensuring that each encounter is a dialogue rather than a predetermined experience. For Conor, Shibari is a tool for physical communication, where aesthetics, compositions, and patterns are guided by the needs of the scene and the individuals involved. His work prioritizes safety, exploration, and the creation of new emotional spaces in which people can navigate their experiences with excitement and care.

Informed by the techniques and aesthetics of Japanese masters, Conor has developed an inclusive style that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds. His years of study have led to a distinctive blend of Western and Eastern influences, further shaped by his background in design. This evolving approach to rope play transcends traditional boundaries, celebrating diversity and fostering deeper connections through sensuality, trust, and artistic expression.

Eveline

Drawn to the beauty and perversion of struggle, Eveline was captivated by Shibari—a language of tension, control, and surrender that spoke to her in ways nothing else could. Her six years in the kink scene have been a journey of exploration, transformation, and deep connection, with rope becoming the most profound expression of her desires. With a background in dance, movement is instinctual, and in rope, she doesn’t just endure—she moves, plays, and breathes within the constraints. Her performances are a delicate balance of resistance and release, sensuality and suffering, where each tie speaks of longing, defiance, and the raw vulnerability of surrender.

TK Lab

TK Lab

This class focuses on the theoretical foundations of the TK, a fundamental shibari tie.

The TK is versatile and incorporates many essential elements, such as tension, body mechanics, frictions, and safety considerations.

Gorgone emphasizes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach due to differences in style, priorities, body types, and needs.Key topics covered include:

•  Variations of the TK: Exploring different styles and adaptations based on individual requirements.

•  Safety and Placement: Understanding nerve safety and effective rope placement to avoid injuries.

•  Building Blocks of Rope Bondage: Learning how the TK integrates core techniques like tension control and body manipulation.

•  Insights from experience: Gorgone shares over a decade of knowledge in practicing and refining this tie.

This class sets the stage for practical applications by providing a comprehensive understanding of the TK’s structure and purpose.

Gorgone

(she/they) is a French rope switch and co-founder of Shibari Study.

Their method and approach to rope is deeply influenced by their interest and personal practice of conscious movement together with 10+ years of intense professional experience on both sides of the rope.

Their teaching is directed to both riggers and models, guiding them into developing active, conscious and efficient partnerships in order to create safer and more successful rope experiences.

She takes time to deconstruct everything she teaches, from the most basic to the most complex ties, and always addresses both the rope’s and body’s mechanics of a tie or position. Her pedagogy focuses on encouraging and developing technical autonomy, freedom and creativity in the student’s practice while maintaining a fundamental background of safety, knowledge and awareness.

With Gorgone you will not only learn the ‘how’ but also the ‘why’ behind each tie so you can adapt or modify a harness or position to each new partner and situation and fully incorporate it into your own unique practice.

The heart of Gorgone's tying and teaching is the idea that Shibari is not about "rope - on the body” but about "the body - in rope".

For whom is this workshop?

  • It is suitable for beginners to advance Riggers.

  • Rigger and model, switching rolls is not allowed.

Chaotic Bodies

Torment, Pleasure and Courage

This is an advanced workshop focusing on exploring a more extreme and tortuous approach to rope. The modules of this class are less generic and demand from both part a stronger sense of adaptation to less predictable structures.

This workshop is more challenging for the body-mind, playing and experimenting with more painful and chaotic structures and processes. While «Fly Strong» and «Dynamic Bodies» focus on understanding the body in order to navigate within its limits and optimise comfort and predictability, the goal here is to 'negotiate with the body-mind‘ in order to push it closer or beyond its limits.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Advanced Workshop- Riggers should master suspension line management before attending this class. Riggers and models should have experience tying together and feel comfortable sharing exercises focusing on the eroticising of suffering and vulnerability.

Dynamic Bodies

Dynamic Bodies

This is a full day workshop addressed to riggers and models interested in exploring dynamic suspensions and transitions.

The content of this weekend focuses on a more acrobatic and athletic approach to rope suspension. The sequences are fast paced, technically challenging and physically taxing for the models.

The program aims to help both riggers and models develop mutual awareness and autonomy in order to successfully support each other in the process of executing a more dynamic and challenging suspension sequence. The goal is to learn how to use and enjoy various states of mind-body such as tension and relaxation, stress positions and resting positions, autonomous movement and surrender…

(NOTE: Advanced Workshop - Riggers should master suspension line management before attending this class; the sequences are challenging and models should not suffer unnecessarily because riggers hesitate with their up-lines.)

Fly Strong

Fly Strong

This program was designed to help build/restore confidence in the model’s body and capabilities as well as reinforcing the rigger’s understanding of rope-body mechanics in suspension.

It is ideal for riggers and models new to suspension or feeling stuck in their progress due to insecurities on either side of the rope.

The main focus of this workshop is the research for the optimal use of the body in ropes and how to achieve 'comfortable' suspensions, concentrating on positional studies rather than complex sequences.

The goal is to develop more awareness, confidence and autonomy in both partners in order to achieve stronger partnerships and more rewarding experiences.

Motion and Intention

Motion and Intention

This is a floor-based workshop mixing rope techniques and movement/embodiment practices.

Gorgone and her model will discuss and demonstrate the importance of posture, movement, body language and spatiality in a rope session.

How you choose to place yourself around your partner, finding your points of balance and imbalance, exploring each other's centre of gravity and being intentional about how you move your own and your partner's body will greatly affect the mood of your rope scenes.

Everyone's body and mobility is different, so it is important to explore and develop your own language. This class doesn't aim to tell you what to do or not to do, but rather to invite you to explore this communication tool and find what works for you and your partners.

Shibari can be highly technical and intricate but before losing ourselves in the fancy techniques, we should remember that bondage can also be a sensual, playful and emotional practice.

It is not about "rope - on the body" but about "the body - in rope

  • This is a partnered/couples only, not solo participants.

  • The workshop offers valuable information for both model and rigger.

  • Switching rolls during the workshop is not allowed.

  • All levels, styles and dynamics are welcome.

Top & Bottom Power Dynamic with Arthur and Annet

Top & Bottom Power Dynamic

From Intimate Integrity, our friends Arthur and Annet will take the room and lead us through out this workshop.

Polarity in our connection can bring heavenly things. If you create the safety to surrender and take control you can both enjoy that power dynamic and sink deeper into it.

But it all starts and ends how well you can make the connection to start with.

In the workshop you will experience both roles in the power dynamic; letting go of control and taking control.

In 90 minutes we will let you experience what can be so fun about the power dynamic top vs bottom. The experiences will be playful, safe and with tangible exercises to create the space for you to try things out. During all the workshops of Intimate Integrity all clothes stay on and no sexual activities will take place. There is plenty to experience and feel to leave that for other places.

Kink & Tantra Arthur and Annet

Kink & Tantra

The workshop will be hosted by Arthur & Annet. You can come with little or a lot of experience and together with your partner, friend or other connection. If you come alone we will see if we can match you. If you come together you can stay together at all times if you prefer.

Kink & tantra seem two far ends of sexual experiences. But that’s absolutely not the case. The combination of the two is one of the best out there. Because with tantra you can make kink kinkier, more playful or intens, with even more pleasure and better connection.

In 90 minutes we will let you experience in a safe and playful matter what it can bring for you. Our exercises are aimed at giving you a safe space to experiment and experience what it can do for you. During all the workshops of Intimate Integrity all clothes stay on and no sexual activities will take place. There is plenty to experience and feel to leave that for other places.
